Newsgator Shuts Down Its Online Feed Reader: "NewsGator, the company behind the popular FeedDemon and NetNewsWire feed readers, just announced that it will shut down the NewsGator Online Reader on August 31, 2009. The company will provide users with instructions on how to migrate to Google Reader."

Whoa! Feadreaders are dead? Is it all just a Twitter river of what I had for lunch now?

gReader now has 'share with note' which is a great idea but the cartoon bubble on the web landing page has got to go.

And a new bookmarklet (not the forgotten old Google Share bookmarklet) that feeds into the gReader stream, only what you highlight, though, and you have to allow javascript on the page that you clip. Now I have to figure which to use, Friendfeed, Social|Median, gShare, or bloglines ...

A fine idea. I resisited Chameleon on top of Bloglines, but, this is nicely integrated. If only I did not cringe and avert my eyes every time I try to use the Google Reader ...
